The #1 Online Comunity for Airsoft Teams

Alright people so I know every airsoft team has a certain tactic or plan
so whats your opinion?

Our tactics are Strictly military only, we use 4 man squads, and 10 man fire teams we sweep rooms using frag, flash or smoke clearing but I want to know

what kind of tactics are yours?

is it partly military?
is it mostly civi tactics and running around and screaming pointless orders?
or is it calm, collected, and well thought out?

Well you really got to think about what what your objective is in airsoft. "De inimico non loquaris sed cogites." This means: Don't wish ill for your enemy, plan it. And our team really puts this saying to use. You have to be really careful during airsoft matches. Our team really likes to keep moving and to continue to advance on your enemy. But we aren't stupid about it either. Keep advancing, but move to cover. If you don't, theres a good chance you'll end up getting out. Remember: If the enemy is within range, so are you. Using this tactic I usually end up with close to 7-14 kills per game with no deaths. What are your guys thoughts?

4 man squads and 10 man fire teams? Hope you mean 4 Man Fire team and 10 Man Squads. We utilize small unit tactics for the Death Dealers running any where from 2 to 4 man teams, with the flexibility to move into Squad or Larger formations. Most situations are dictated by terrain and opponent. We have on many occasions successfully been able to not only stop but push back an large aggressor force with only a two man team. It takes alot of communication and knowing your partner/weapons capabilities.

I've seen small teams who are nothing but hard core tactics be over run by a large horde of non-tactic using players as well as I've seen the opposite. When using tactics its about familiarities of your team members, their knowing their weapons systems and using them effectively on the field and plan and simply fitting into the style of play you are comfortable with.

Once you have this figured out, and it takes multiple practices to get to know each other its not something that just happens in one skirmish, you'll find your skills and tactics improve.

Over all Any one can pick up a field manual and attempt the maneuvers and maybe succeed. True Tactics are hit and miss on the field and you improve adapt and over come in every situation. If you try to play it "By the Book." I hope you don't try around my guys, unconventional is the name of the game.

Semper Gumby and Carry on!

My team, and some help from platoon 243 from cherry point helped us realize this when we met a few of them at a swat meet

no tactics are superior and you will lose when you think that
you never get cocky in a tactical situation, cockiness means losing, you dont want to lose, and even off the field you never get cocky, nobody likes it.
to them you just look like some yahoo that thinks there all that because of some fluke kind of playing

Last time I played we went 2 against 4. My partner and I were the 2, we used radio contact and coordinated movement to obtain our objective so I say we use military tactics. We won so I'd say superior tactics.

for me we did 3 man squads pushed hard to near game over and suddenly disappear and come out 2 squads 5 guys each 1 pushed front and one flanked but we were silent enough that they still thought we were scattered out.

my personal tactics are that of a sniper, two man squad get in get out strike hard and fast be a ghost make sure no one knows we were there but at the same time stay calm and composed
