I was pinned down behind a crappily built bunker. I was taking a lot of fire, both my left and front flanks were overwhelmed with suppressive fire. I couldn’t move.

"Fudge!", I said, "how did I get myself in this? I trained so hard, and now I’m in this crap. I can’t move, I’m trapped." I call out to my team “Gamma to fireteam! I'm pinned down! I can’t move! I need covery fire!". I waited to hear from them. Nothing…. "Fudge!", I said again thinking of a way to get myself out of that piece of crap bunker that wasn’t holding up. Shots flew by, whizzing passed my head. "Specter to Gamma I’m on your 8’oc!". "Copy that!"
I was surprised to hear from him: Specter was one of the new guys who had just joined the team. He was the fire team leader. He ended up getting that job because he excelled in his commands and in leadership school. Lance Corporal Specter was one of the better guys, a pointsman, and a little foolish at times; but when it was time to be serious, you could bet he was the first one to be in check. "Do you have any shots!?" I called out to him. "That’s a negative, sir" he replied. "Dang it! Can you give me covery fire!? I need to fall back on your position!". "Copy that, sir! Covering…". "Basher to Specter! Hold your fire!". Basher was the team commander and also one of the higher ranking officers. Major Basher and I were one of the four men to start this advanced Special Forces division. He was a rifleman on the fire team, following Specter closely behind to watch his 6. "Sorry Gamma, we need to move up. I’ll stay here and cover your right. I need you to give suppressive fire for Specter so he can move up on the hill. I have 8-ball moving along giving us Intel on the tango’s positions.". 8-ball was the scout sniper, another new guy who had just passed his sniper training. He was also a Lance Corporal who excelled in stealth and confirming info to other.men.
"I can’t sir! I can’t move." I shouted at him, even though he couldn’t hear me. And be for I knew it, Specter was already at the base of the hill. "Dang it!" I said. "They didn’t even say go.". "Gamma, this is Jericho! I’m coming up on your 4’oc!". Jericho was the team's marksman and he was the Master Sergeant of the fire team, also one of the founding fathers of our division. "Negative Jericho! Don’t move from your position!". "Copy that, sir!" He replied. "I need you to tell me where Specter is at!". "Gamma, this is 8-ball! Be advised, there are three enemy tango’s moving in on your 3’oc!". "Copy that, 8-ball!". "Jericho, this is Gamma! I need you to keep an eye on are 3’oc, I just received Intel from 8-ball we have tango’s moving in on are position.". "Copy that, sir.".

It felt like all hell broke lose, like there was no way we were going to get out of this one. I was losing my faith in our team. But I quickly got myself together. "We are Face Stalkers" I said, trying to motivate myself.
"We are Face Stalkers!" I screamed as I popped up and unloaded my V-tack Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW) on any tango’s I could pick out. Yes stupid, but at the time it felt good for a nice war cry. I feel back as one of the tangos saw my position. I landed hard on my led twisting my ankle. "Dang! Not this!!", I said to myself.
"No! No! No... Fudge!" I yelled. "Gamma to Basher, do you read me!?". "Gamma, this is Basher. I copy.". "I think I might have twisted my ankle. I’m not sure if I can move.". "Copy that! Stay in your position… Jericho!". "Sir!". "Keep Gamma covered.". "Copy that, sir.". As I watched Specter take the right side of the hill keeping the tango’s on his left side suppressed, Basher was at the foot of the hill waiting till he had cleared his area. Specter leaped up the side of the hill taking out five tangos, but in the process he got taken out. A shot to the head and chest. I can’t believe it. "Gamma to Basher! Specter is down! I repeat Specter is down!". "What!?" Replied Basher. "Yes he was taken out when he flanked the hillside.". "Shit!" Basher yelled. "How many more are there!?". "Basher, this is 8-Ball. All enemy tangos have been taken out, coming to your position!". "Copy that. Basher out!". "Everyone else, regroup in Alpha on me!". "Copy that, sir!".

As we regrouped in Alpha, we were all surprised to see him, but, yes, Specter was regrouping with us. I though I was seeing a ghost. But it was him. I said "Specter you got shot in the head! What the hell are you doing alive!?". "No way Gamma, that was my shoulder blade and my hip. I need some help though..." as we finally noticed the painful grin on his face. We were all so overjoyed to see out teammate that we didn't notice blood rushing from his shoulder and hip. We took him to our HQ, into the medic dock, where they patched him up pretty good. He still had a limp when he came back from the medic, though.

I just hope to God we don’t have another ambush like that... We wouldn’t be ready.

I think you got the maority of the words that time. I'm in AP English at highschool, and I know how tough constructive criticism can be... but it's for the better. I'd hate to see this story taken away, so it's great.

Holy Crap thats freaking awesome, but one thing you may need to get rid of the curse words, its against socom policy, just like star them out or something, but good job, i wanted more when i was done.
