Airsoft, the wrong mentality?

So i'm cruising around the net. reading all my regular Airsoft sites/forums and I'm starting to see a scary trend. Paintball.. now your saying "Huh?" Let me explain, before I started airsoft I was a huge Milsim Paintballer. I spent mass amount of money and time perfecting my game only to find I never could compete with a guy who had an Autococker, E-trigger and could spray paint down range at over 20 BPS. More and more players of the sport of Paintball where going that route. Dropping the menta… Continue

A&K M249 SAW MKII Field Performance review.

Alright, today we had our skirmish in Casper. An excellent turn out. Great area to skirmish in. I used my M249 All day. The Terrain was extremely wet and lush underbrush thickets and tree's. Slightly hilly with ravines running through the area. First off I highly recommend getting a good fitting sling for your SAW. I made my own and love it. Sits just right and works like a charm. One of the other guys had the MkI and kept commenting on how much he wished he had a Sling on his SAW. Battery li… Continue

UTG M3 Tri-Shot shotgun

Well, when UTG announced they where putting a tri-shot shotgun on the market I was intrigued and skeptical. Most shotguns that shoot more then 1 bb at a time seem to always have some sort of issue. But the price for the shotgun was to good to pass up. I purchased the M3 with my M249 SAW and when it showed up I was impressed. I opened the box and right away the general look and feel of the shotgun is good. The full body of the weapon is heavy ABS plastic. Its not like alot of the shotguns on th… Continue

A&K M249 MKII

So, with that wonderful tax return check, I decided it was time to get back to the weapon I know and love. The M249 Squad Automatic Weapon While I was in the Corps as an Infantry man my first weapon I carried was exactly this. The M249. I hated it. Its heavy, jams often, heavy, did I mention heavy? The Rate of Fire was impressive for a Light Automatic Machine Gun, But lets get to the meat and potatoes. Here is a little overview of the Real Steel M249 SAW The M249 is an air-cooled, gas-operat… Continue

Elitism in the Airsoft Community

In every community, and every group/team there is always that ugly little beast called Elitism. Airsoft is no different. I started playing extreme action sports with Paintball, and saw it often enough, When the Tippmann A5 came out you where not a woodsballer if you didnt have a heavily modded milsim A5 that can almost shoot full auto by just feathering the finger, MARPAT Camoflage hit the Market and BAM same thing you where no body if you didn't have the latest camo. Airsoft.. much the same w… Continue
