team.airSOCOM.com would like to invite all TEAMS to participate in the following event.
What is it?: The Team Recognition Event.
How do I participate?: Its really simple actually The team who participates most often on the site utilizing the team site functions as intended. Posts pictures of team events, Posts blogs of team activities and updates on the team. Utilizes their team section forums.
Requirements: a Team must be more then 3 people, Each member of the team must have a filled out My Page section to include, a profile picture. (preferably one of the member not a randomly found picture). The Team must be active at least twice a month on the site.
Active means: Post a picture or video, Post a comment on the forums, Post a comment in the team page, Post a blog, etc. Over all members show a professional, helpful attitude. Posts cannot be made just by one person in order to qualify. A Majority of the team members must be active in order for the team to be active. (Majority means 90% or more of the team)
Posting in Forums/Blogs etc: Posts must be airsoft related, must be helpful and professional in nature
Video/Pictures: Must be of the team/Team members conducting safe Airsoft related activities.
Any breach of site standards or rules will disqualify the team/members.
Reward?: Well other then the obvious reward of your team getting recognition by being active. Your team will be a featured team on the site. And be authorized to place the Recognized team.airSOCOM.com Ribbon in the members and team page.
How long does the contest run?: Every month up to 4 teams will be picked. It is a monthly contest.
How many times can you win?: It all depends on your team!
When does this contest start?: Right now!

I have a question regarding picture posts........
I realize this is a petty concern but, I thought I saw some pictures being posted more than once. I wonder if this will still counts in regards to this contest. I have not posted pix more than once as I do not see the need to, I take pix/video on the day of practice and watch/post them the same day or a day or two later. We use the video to review and improve our skills, and as soon as I can I will post some video spots. The pictures are just a fun way to keep a record of what we do. Our team members really do enjoy seeing themselves and their teammates as well as the other teams we play on your website. As the person who takes pix/video I have access to things that all the team members do not get to see while they are playing, it is an eye opener at times and a great way to improve skills and observe when you normally could not.
My team would really like to win this contest and get the recogonition and ribbon that comes with it but im not sure I could keep up with duplicate posts....
If we all start posting pix/videos more than once than thats all you will have is countless copies of duplicate pix/videos, it can get out of control very quickly and loose the original purpose of this website and contest.

Very good point Flash, and you are spot on. Duplicate posts of pics/vids will not count towards activity on the site. If one person posts a pic or vid then another from the same team it will be seen as duplicate posting and not count. Each member must post original items.
And remember. Posting pic/vids are not the only way to be active on the site!

Congratulations to The P.A.C and Shadowforce for being recognized for Sept. 2008! Oct has just started so get those teams up and running!
